This museum is an hour's drive north of Taipei past the port city of Keelung. It's well worth the drive and be prepared to spend the whole day there. There's a cafeteria in case you didn't pack lunch. The museum showcases the works of renowned sculptor JuMing, particularly his Taichi and Armed Forces collections. Wished I could take one back... My second time visiting this incredible garden/museum/sculpture park. Thoughtful layout of this huge space Is big enough for you to spend a good half day here. But kids can also simply stay at the water fountain for hours with laughters and some French fries from the family friendly restaurant. No matter how old you are, I believe you will find... More

We spent a day out at Juming Museum on our 3rd day in Taipei. It didn't disappoint. Lots of outdoor sculptures and indoor works of Juming plus an exhibition of some other artistes. My personal favorites are the soldier, zipper and tai chi series. There's also a video presentation of Juming's life and his work at the main area. We... More

My main plan is to visit JuMing Museum by taking the North Coast Shuttle Bus (TWD200/one day pass/person) because it allows me to hop on and off the bus for one price. The Shuttle Bus starts at MRT TamSui and I was there before 9am to take the 9am bus. But turned out JuMing Museum doesn't open until 10am and... More

The first time I visited here by public transportation and it took me about 2 hours to travel from Taipei city to the museum. However, I feel is really worth for the travel time as I didn’t expect there’re so many amazing outdoor sculptures in the museum. Basically the setup is like a small scale theme park and will suggest... More

The Juming museum was a a great experience with alot of work on display, much of it outside, We spent around 3 hours here and unfortunately for much of the time it was raining so we didn't spend as much time looking at things as we would have liked, we could easily have spent longer there. The staff were very... More

The grounds of the museum are huge and most of the sculptures are outdoors. It therefore makes sense to go on a sunny day. There are couple themes for the sculptures, the most famous one being Tai Chi, but the military theme is very impressive as well. There are countless sculptures installed throughout the grounds. There is a cafe at... More

Well worth the 1 hour trip from Taipei, the sculptor bought the land and built his own museum and grounds to display his many works in copper, stone and camphor wood. A wood carver by training, he moved to New York and soon won global recognition. Google his Taichi series as one example. Don't let the somewhat unimpressive initial landscapes... More

A large compound and indoor exhibition halls, children art centres and outdoor park decorated with huge impressive sculptures. Looks of walking, so be prepared to go with comfortable walking shoes. There are a few cafes within the compound, so no worries about getting thirsty or hungry or you just need a pit stop in between the visit. Tickets are affordable,... More

A huge museum and you can probably spend an afternoon at there with a lot of art pieces showing in it. It's really Asian and tangible one. However, it's just located quite far from downtown but still connect with public transfer with around a hour to Tam-Shui Sidenote: you can get a annual pass by consuming more than TWD2,000 at...
