Absolutely beautiful old Taoist temple with lots of intricately carved stone details throughout. The temple has been reconstructed three times with it's origins dating back to the 18th century. Pictures don't do the details justice - definitely worth a visit to fully appreciate the level...More

This is a small, beautiful, well-preserved old temple in the middle of the city. We paid a short visit since temple was very busy with worshippers.

Sanxia Zushi Temple 三峽清水祖師廟 offers the best example of carved stone pillars in Taiwan. Longshan Temple 龍山寺 pales in comparison. Other architectural details can keep a photographer busy and excited for hours.
