I've been to this spot about 4 times over 20 or so years. The most challenging part of doing the Overlook is finding a parking space. Even in slow times at Zion, it is difficult. If you must, wait for one. It is worth it! There is a youtube video out about 6 years now showing a hiker base jumping... More

A not too strenuous trail with nice views along the way and a spectacular view at the end. Guard rails in most places where there are drop offs.

My wife and I took this hike as our first hike of our first afternoon in Zion NP around 1:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday in mid-October 2016. The trailhead is just before the tunnel to go into the park (east side), so this is a commonly used pulloff where folks get out and take their first hike. That... More

This is my favorite Zion trail, we have to hike the short distance to the overlook each time we visit. It's an easy hike, you do climb a couple hundred feet in elevation but the majority of the hike is along a level trail through a beautiful canyon. You arrive at a magnificent overlook of the canyon that is breathtaking.... More

This hike was so beautiful and just challenging enough with the sandy rocks to be fun! Please don't take more small children than adults to hold their hands. There are a few spots that I would not have let a 5 year old walk unassisted. My 8 year old was fine. There are fun rocks to explore at the top... More

It's a great trail to hike. Saw a herd of Desert Big Horn Sheep and was rewarded with a wonderful view of the valley.

As you exit the tunnel heading east from Zion, there's a small parking area to your right. There's are rest rooms, and the day we were there, mountain sheep! Across the road near the ranger booth, is the path. It is fairly steep in spots; sometime you are on rough stairs, sometimes just slanted rocks, but where needed there are... More

This was a long hike up the side of a mountain with lots of switchbacks. It takes you to the highest point in the park where you can look down over Angels Landing. The views along the way and at the top cannot be beat.

This is a perfect trail if you are looking for an easy hike within an hour. My friend and I selected this hike because of our time constraint. We drove in, early enough to snatch the last parking spot. It is a tiny parking lot. Arrive early or park in overflow parking. The hike itself is interestingly varied, high, low,... More

A relatively strenuous hike, but very doable if you are prepared. Exposure - watch for this towards its end is you are sensitive to heights.
