Nice trail to a fun canyon with easy scrambling

The hike up was steep but didn't take long. There is one exposed section, but with the help of the chains I felt comfortable. You'll get the best views stopping on the trail on the way up, because at the end of the trail you've already started to enter the canyon and the wide views are obscured. Definitely take the... You get a lot of vertical in a short period of time but the reward after 30 minutes of huffing and puffing is worth it.

We went during a light rain and had the place to ourselves, which may be a once in a lifetime event! It wasn't slippery, but probably could be. The sun came out and we were finishing up when the crowds came out.

All of Zion National Park is special. This short trek is no exception. The day we went was overcast and a few raindrops fell, but id did not deter us in the least. The canyon walls are nothing short of spectacular. We did see one small waterfall beginning to increase. Maybe we should have stayed longer to see if it... More

This is a good starter hike for Zion to get you in the mood for the bigger main attractions. The switchbacks are no fun but good views. There are chains on the trail that one her reviews lead me to believe were good to get you ready for Angels Landing.....don't be fooled into thinking they are similar other than they... More

We inadvertently hiked this trail today (we were not paying attention to the signage) and thought that the ambitious vertical climb along narrow trails and icy switchbacks were worth the sweat we all worked up. We had chains on our boots and definitely found these made our trip much easier. There are portions of this trail in which you use... More

This hike is less popular than Angel's Landing, Observation Point, and the Narrows but is still a fun and challenging hike. We were there on a cold, wet, and snowy day, so we had the trail practically to ourselves. Be sure to continue back into the canyon all the way to the natural arch...we almost missed it (just a few... More

This is a real exciting but surprising trail to hike as it has easy parts but also strenuous uphill hiking and parts with chains along the side. You should take your time to explore this hike and enjoy the scenery. It is well worth to walk the hidden canyon trail even on a cloudy day, when it is warm you... More

Do this first to get a bit of a tase of the route to Angels Landing. Modest exposure with some chains and strenuous uphill climb. Do explore past the end of the trail to a cool arch deeper in the canyon. Great picnic rock in the sun right at end of maintained trail.

My husband and I completed this in 2 hours and took the time to enjoy the view. We are 60 years old and in fairly good physical shape. Not for anyone with bad knees. This is considered a moderate hike, there are chains to hold to in places. A highlight of our first trip to Zion.
