I started at 2pm and finished at 7pm. 2,000+ feet of elevation gain to point above Angels Landing. Beautiful views looking down Zion valley and Virgin River. Hike up into Hidden canyon is very hard, then exposed in sun up to Observation Point. Steep. Hot....More

We chose to hike Observation Point since I learned through reviews that I probably wouldn't like Angel's Landing due to crowds and scary heights, but that Observation Point was a great alternative. I read it was thrilling, challenging, but beautifully worth it. All of that...More

Almost 2500ft elevation over 4 miles makes this a tough hike even for experienced walkers. You will need good strong shoes, preferably walking boots. There is limited shade if the sun is strong. Two hours each way is the minimum going rate for the majority...More

I had given angels landing a miss due to my fear of heights and had gotten only as far as scouts landing. To get views comparable to angels landing minus the strenuous and risky hikes, we decided to do the alternate moderate "cheater trail" to...More

As other reviewers have said, Observation Point has AMAZING viewpoints both at the summit/destination and along the trail. It’s well-worth your time. However there’s a MUCH easier way to see the views than climbing the very strenuous switchbacks from Zion Canyon’s floor. We took a...More

Beautiful trail with awesome views. We hiked it in 90 degrees so it was tough! Start early for cooler temps and smaller crowds.

Best hike of the Zion National Park. 4 mile climbing up and you are at the top with a beautiful view of amazing Zion Canyon. It’s worth it. Fearful of heights shouldn’t do this trail.

This is the Zion hike. Everyone hypes angels landing due to the scary drops and extreme nature of the hike, but this is the view you need to see. The hike is long, and strenuous. You need to start early to avoid the heat and...More

I think what you see is very similar. From observation point you are higher and looking right at Angels landing. So, from Angels Landing you have an unobstructed view to the south and you are on a pinnacle so that's a big... More
