The main part of Zion National Park has much more interesting trails with much better views. I would only come here if you feel you have done most of the trails at the main part of Zion National Park.

This 24 mile or so round trip is well worth the visit. It is located at the Northwest entrance Zion national Park. Unique rock formations. Be sure to check out the visitor center.

While the eastern side of Zion boasts white cliffs, Kolob Canyon stuns with deep red ones. Visit this side of the park too - it has just as much beauty. We did the Kolob Arch trail which is a 14 mile out and back to...More

Accessible directly from I 15 just south of Cedar City, Utah, Kolob Canyon (not "canyons") is very much worth seeing. Mostly hidden from view from I-15 by foothills, Kolob Canyon is actually a part of Zions National Park though the two main locations are not...More

I stayed at an AirBNB close by, and the property owner suggested I drive over to see Kolob Canyons for sunset (only 5 minutes away from New Harmony). I was exhausted from a week of meetings and then driving down from SLC, but SO glad...More

Only a five mile scenic drive however it is spectacular! We loved the mountains and views for miles. It is a portion of Zion National Park and deserves the praise. If we'd know we could also picnic there we would've, it is beautiful.

Yes Zion Canyon is amazing and it's got the shuttles and everything else, but you can't miss this northern section of the park. It's secluded and less traveled but the views are no less amazing. We loved the hiking the trails with our young daughters.

This was a really nice hike to a spectacular double arch. Lots of easy creek crossings (get wet on purpose or stay dry) and beautiful red rock canyon views especially at end. Not much elevation change; no real boulder hopping involved. There were 6 adults in...More

The hiking trails in this park are easy to do, especially the last one at the end of the road. Then you will have the best view on the surrounding mountains in front of you. The entrance fee is also valid for Zion national park.

There's a visitors center at the entrance to Kolob Canyon where you're supposed to pay a fee if you don't have an annual pass.
