Well worth a stop. Not quite as grand as the main section of Zion, but gorgeous none the less. We did not hike...but took the 5 mile drive. We were lucky...very few others were around in December.

This park is in the west side of Zion National Park and not everyone goes there. Avoid the crowds at the main park and go here if you like it a little quieter. It is freeway close - right off I-15. Takes a little while...More

Few would take the time and effort to visit this section. So pretty quiet in comparison. Many nice trials and spots.

Gorgeous views of crimson Navajo sandstones! Do not miss the spectacular show of sunset where the magical spell of pinks and oranges adorns the peaks! Each bend has a scenic view point!!!

I loved the hiking and views in this less-travelled, quieter part of Zion. Taylor Creek was a fabulous hike. I hit the trail around 7:30 am and saw no one at all until I was heading back to the car- and then passed only a...More

I had no idea how close Kolob Canyons beauty and views were so close to I-15!! My family has sadly driven past exit 40 for years without stopping, not realizing that we could be transported into another world if we just took a few minutes...More

We passed this place for years because we were either too worn out from all the hiking at Zion or we ran out of time. Don't miss it. The Double Arch on Taylor Creek trial is amazing

It's an 8 or so mile hike from the trailhead, which is a few miles from the park entrance. It's pretty much a full day to see Kolob Arch.

There's a visitors center at the entrance to Kolob Canyon where you're supposed to pay a fee if you don't have an annual pass.
