Spent a few days out in Utah specifically for the Zion park area. Spent plenty of time a several areas of the park but found Kolob to be my favorite. Kolob is the north-west area of Zion and seems to be far less traveled. Get away from the crowds at Zion Canyon and find some easy family rated trails, like... More

My wife and I started our visit to Zion National Park here. It's not as crowded as the rest of the park. No need for a shuttle here. Views from the road are spectacular, plus lots of trails are accessible from the road. There are lots of pull-offs to stop at and get your pictures. We highly recommend.

This is a great scenic road, with really amazing views, and practically no visitors (on a busy sunday). If you need to get awat from the crowds, I highly reccomend. The Timber Creek Overlook trail at the end of the road is great, and very easy.

This is a stunning road with amazing views. Plenty of pulls to stop and soak it all up and snap pics as well as three different trail heads. Not to be missed if you are nearby ... or even if not nearby, make the trip!

We almost missed the Kolab Canyon side of Zion. The entrance is just a few miles (by Utah standards) up the freeway and it is worth the drive. The canyon road is pretty, but even better is the Timber Creek Overlook Trail at the top of the road. It is short (1 mile roundtrip) and has spectacular views into the... More

Most people don't take the time to drive this road. It is completely different from the part of the park that most people visit. Almost like a different park. Take the time and avoid the crowds.

If time is short, explore the main canyon in Zion instead. It is a lovely drive, but it simply doesn't compare with the main canyon in Zion. There are considerable less people over here. We also did the Taylor creek hike. I would say the same thing about that hike. It was nice, but most of the hikes in the... More

Took this road at the end of our Utah vacation; we had already seen Zion's main canyon, Bryce and Capitol Reef, so I think we were a little jaded. It was nice to be able to be away from the crowds, and the view were good, but not spectacular. Unfortunately we did not have time to try to Taylor Creek... More

As a road view goes, it's hard to beat this. We were in our way to the arches and we saw lots of folks stopping just to take in the view from the pull off. Everyone seemed to love the view.
