Top 10 roads you can drive in the USA. In the running for the most dramatic. For 20 miles is just takes you breath away.

We came from Bryce Canyon and got to experience a very beautiful landscape and the tunnel. People on the side of the road were chaotic at times, so be careful

Clouds arrived just as we did with the strong winds indicating that as storm was coming. Photos were unique with the ominous storm clouds. When we got through the tunnel, we saw golden eagles and condors soaring on the winds. Seeing the spires of the...More

Note: The Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway should not be confused with the Zion Canyon Road, where the shuttle runs. The shuttle does not run on the Zion-Mt. Carmel highway, which is at the east entrance of the park. This 14 mile stretch of highway is one...More

I've never been on a stretch of road quite like it. From the park entrance to the visitor center, there's one unique natural wonder after another. The drive down the canyon right after the tunnel is a little crazy, but not nearly as bad as...More

If you have a car, drive over. The scenery is beautiful and totally worth the drive! The morning seems the best time to head that way, as the afternoons are busy with people coming to town, and the tunnel has controlled openings.

This is not a drive that just gets you from here to there. This is a drive where you'll want to stop frequently and explore the magnificent scenery. When you're planning your trip, be sure to allow time for this or you'll really be missing...More

If you are anywhere close to Zion National Park, you need to visit. Drive or you can park and take a free shuttle. The views are stunning! Native Americans called this area "straight up land" and they are right.....everything is straight up! The tunnel you...More

This was an amazing drive, one of the most beautiful we have done. We stopped and did some trails, climbed the mountains and enjoyed the views. The different colors are amazing. The tunnel was fun, with its portholes for fresh air, but a unique view...More

how navigable is this route by 25 ft RV? Did you see many RV's on this route? How many parking spaces are available at the canyon visitors center?

Many RV's for sure. There is a tunnel so you might want to check height restrictions. I don't recall the max. Visitors center has lots of parking but even on a week day in late Oct it was almost full. I can't imagine what it... More

If we enter the park along the Zion-Mt Carmel Highway, is there a place to park the car to then ride the shuttle in the park?

No. You'll have to drive all the way through to the visitor center. That's the only place to park and get the shuttle. Shuttle does not do on Mt. Carmel highway. But it's a BEAUTIFUL dive!
Can you drive this entrance the middle of May ?
