Great drive. Great views. As long as you're not in a hurry!! Speed limit is 35 for most of it. Lower in some areas. Not a problem on vacation but unfortunately some other drivers ARE in a hurry. We just pulled over and let them pass. Beautiful views. Wildlife (deer, wild turkeys, lots of birds including a pilleated woodpecker), wild... More

Loved the drive! We did not know there was a toll. Pay by car. We had three. Luckily we only spent 10 dollars or it would have been a hefty price. Military with ID is free, senior citizen gets in for 10 dollars and that's a pass to get into every national park in the US after that. Besides that... More

Have been going here for years!! Sometimes for the family gathering, sometimes for serenity, sometimes for personal healing and sometimes for fun. The views are breathtaking. I always return to my life relaxed and refreshed.

I LOVED driving on this beautiful highway. Got a little scary on some parts with the tight curves and steep drops.

Beautiful drive with lots of places to stop and gaze at the views. We drove slowly (30 mph) and kept our eyes open for wildlife. We saw lots of deer!

I've wanted to go there for years and it was as pretty as I imagined. There are a lot of places to pull over and enjoy the view or to hike.

Next time we will wait for spring, as everything looks bare ... just a moment before bloom. Wonderful stops with fantastic vistas.

There is a $25 fee to get on the Skyline Drive, and it's worth it. There are many places you can pull of the road and get out of your car to see the vistas. It's peaceful and quiet, although there seemed to be lots of flying bugs wherever we got out....nothing that bit us, but just a bit annoying.... More
