The Big Trees Trail was one of the most interesting and impressive trails we’ve found. These incredible trees won’t let you stop taking photos (ideally use a GoPro to catch their size in one shot).

The trail leaves from the Museum and is quite short but gives a good selection of the giant Sequoia trees surrounding a small meadow. The trail loops around the meadow. A perfect introduction .

Just go! A veritable wonder to my mind with trees that seem to reach the sky that are over a thousand years old - what is there to to be amazed by?

Surely you will big trees. Allow at least an hour to walk this trail including walking to and from the car park. Dirt path but fairly flat and easy walk.

We followed this trail and although very annoyed when there were queues in certain area due to road stops or slow drivers, we enjoyed most of it. I would do it again in a heart beat: check my Giant forest review for lots of advice

A very easy, yet beautiful circular trail that is next to the giant tree museum and has plenty of parking. It is entirely paved / surfaced so ideal for families with buggies / strollers / wheelchairs or mobility vehicles (there is access for such vehicles)....More
