This walk was maybe our favorite for it offered many giants up close as well as those across the meadow. Was quiet and distant from the road noise. Look for the golden marmont living in a hole at the base of one big tree

Fresh air and great smells of the nature forest. A short walk between the giant trees and wonderful information along the trail. A bit freezing temperature.

We did this easy, flat 2 mi. trail on 8/30/18. The trees are impressive and we saw 5 yellow bellied marmots on the large rocks just off the trail. You can easily walk to this trail from the Big trees museum. There are pit toilets...More

It is a short hike of about an hour and you can literally see hundreds of huge sequoia trees. Do not miss

The Big Trees Trail is a loop around a meadow that has numerous sequoias all around it. I didn't count them, but there had to be 40-50 of them in close proximity of the trail. There is a fallen giant, which my daughter climbed on...More

Fell in love with this place and these trees in 2012 - Sequoia served as the inspiration for the origin of my novel. It was wonderful to be back amongst them. They never fail to connect to the spirit and to astound with their size....More

Big trees trail is the easiest trail of the national park. It is accessible right next to the museum. Though it is easy, the scenary is very beautiful.

After a visit to the noisy and crowded General Sherman Tree, the stop on our way out of the park at Big Trees Trail was a welcome change. A beautiful meadow is surrounded by giant sequoias. A nice paved trail loops around the meadow, with...More
