At the end of the road in Kings Canyon lies this jewel. So many lovely stops along the way too, many restrooms.Take a picnic and stop along the way, waterfalls, scenery, meadows, bridges. Cedar lodge has food.

Definitely a highlight of Kings Canyon! The trail is mostly flat but has some rocks to climb over at one point. The views of the canyon are superb. We loved this hike.

They were restoring the meadow, perhaps that was why it was not very appealing. However, the river was beautiful and the soaring rock formations were spectacular.
