This hike is very easy and accessible. We also hiked a short way down the Park Ridge trail. It is also very beautiful and just a little more difficult.

We drove around this almost scary, narrow road trying to find our way to Panoramic Point, missing the final leg of the drive a couple of times. The road to your destination is not clearly marked! It is not a drive for the faint of...More

The turnoff to Panoramic Point is at the north end of the Grant Grove village area. It is not that well marked, so if you don’t know the way I suggest you ask at the visitor’s center. The road passes the John Muir Lodge and...More

This is a lovely spot to just sit, relax and enjoy the view. You can see very far in the distance from this vista point and short hike. Definitely worth the drive and hike to his location of the park.

The entry point of the road to Panoramic Point is a bit tricky to find. We knew it was opposite Grant Grove but there didn't seem to be a sign for it so took us a couple of passes before figuring it out. To get...More

A ranger at the visitor center recommended this point and the trail heading toward the fire lookout (you can visit if it's staffed by volunteers). Lovely trail along the ridge.

If you stay in Grant Village (we stayed in John Muir Lodge) you just take the road to the right of the hotel up the hill on a curvy road to the peak where you have great views - we went for sunset. It's an...More
