Yes, we needed to see if the surgery I had would allow me to enjoy hiking again and I say YES, indeed! This is coming from the perspective of an older couple (60-70 yrs old) who enjoy the outdoors. Others have remarked about it’s relative...More

This was our last hike of our 6-day hiking trip as we were leaving the park. There is limited parking along the Generals Highway. The hike starts at 7,340 feet above sea level and works its way up thru the forest to the top at...More

Little Baldy was our first hike within the park and exceeded our expectations. We came across this hike in our “Easy Day hikes” book (found at the local park stores). The hike requires some ascending switchbacks and a brief walk through the woods, which spits...More

The initial portion of the hike was a steep climb, but the switchbacks made it relatively easy and we were rewarded with wildflowers, stunning views of the Sierras and the panoramas from the rock itself.

We arrived at Sequoia after a long flight and a long drive from San Francisco. This was the perfect hike for us to get out of the car and stretch our legs after a long day of travel. The hike ascends quickly through some switchbacks...More

We did a 10 day trip while in CA 5 years back - flew into San Diego and drove through the Mojave desert and stayed in Three Rivers. Two of my kids enjoyed this trail more than Disneyland. Great views, lovely wildlife sightings, challenging but...More
