It was easy to walk through the meadow and reach the camp area, and then there were cabins available to look into, a roping area to pretend to rope a steer, plus very friendly and helpful rangers. The small creek (or river?) that... More

We enjoy the tour and scenery every year. There are always moose to see and LOTS of elk bugeling. There's a campground nearby that is awesome.

Lots to learn and see. Kids can touch and enjoy time romping in this area . Late afternoon will see animals. Rangers tell great stories and history worth the stop.

Look for the Holzworth Historic Site when visiting Rocky Mountain National Park - the "Never Sumer Ranch" moniker was a 1960's era dude ranch on the site - but let the NPS staff fill you in on the true historical nature of the place. In the Kawuneeche Valley on the west side of RMNP.
