Lake Ozette is a good multi-day canoeing excursion when there are no storms blowing on the lake. With it being a low-land lake, water is the biggest issue. Because of the risk of giardia and also the high amount of tannin in the water, you will want to either bring your own drinking/cooking water, or at least filter it for... More

Have kayaked twice on Lake Ozette in month of August. First year, only two other boats spotted. This year we were the only boats on this 7 mile long, 1 1/2 mile wide lake. Except for a handful of private cabins on the shore, it is wild, remote and you can pretend you are on an 1800's expedition into the... More

Nice hike through forest on mostly boardwalk but there are no views of ocean until you get to beach after 3 mile hike. We are all in reasonable shape and did there and back of 6 miles in 2 hours. We wanted to do full 9 mile loop but ran out of daylight. Perfect dayhike if you bring lunch and... More

It's a bit of a drive to get here, but well worth the trip. Wonderful hike out to the ocean along a mostly wooded trail. Very gradual rise and descent on a wooden, raised walkway. You can hike 3 miles out to the beach and back, or walk the full loop in 9 miles. Advice: The boardwalk can be slippery... More

This is a beautiful walk, slight ups and downs, but very doable even to the casual hiker! It does feel longer than 3 miles, but when we arrived at the beach, it was all worth it! Beautiful views of the sea stacks and morro, lots of driftwood to rest and relax on, and mid-afternoon on Labor Day weekend, it was... More

This lake has a strange feel to it. The water is rust color. Minimal wild life. We paddled to Gardeners island and walked around it. No animal trails or scat. Seemed odd. Did enjoy paddling to a different area. Found the trail head to hike to the ocean. The minimally used primitive trail was a bit challenging. The beach was... More

The coastal hike with views of the Pacific, sea stacks and lots of sea birds. There are boardwalk trails that lead to the coast and the majesty of the forest is peaceful and exciting all at once. Close to Forks and not far form Neah Bay.

We sat for hours on the beach having lunch, taking in the unimaginable view with the bald eagles flying overhead & the sound of the seals barking.,calm beautiful blue water. The hike was one of fun, adventure along with climbing an occasional rock. All in all it was one of the most delightful hikes ever.

we did the 9.1 mile round trip cape Alava, Down the beach. the Sandy Point. You need to do it at low tide. You need to be in shape as we got to spots that required climbing over trees 15 to 20 feet thick and going up and OVER hills with the use of a rope that was 100 feet... More
