We took the shorter inner loop trail which was covered in wild flowers ringing the beautiful, if not large, lake which provided a great reflection of Mt Rainier. The earlier the better to get that perfect picture.

No matter how many times I do this hike it never gets old. It's fairly easy with lots of great views. Make sure you bring some food so you can stop and enjoy the surroundings.

Tipsoo Lake is near the summit on Highway 410 and is only available when road is open. In the winter, you can enounter heavy snowfall. In the spring, summer and fall, you will have a wonderful view of Mr. Rainier from this site as well...More

On a clear day this 1 mile hike lets you take a fantastic photo of Mt. Rainier as well as the reflection of the mountain in Tipsoo Lake. Fabulous.

We drove up chinook pass to see this lake and short walk around. Beautiful views on the drive. Didn't take long at all. Don't miss it.
