Excellent hike among Joshua Trees! We hiked the loop trail which passes by the mining equipment and building foundations. The desert is filled with colorful and abundant wildflowers this year. I enjoyed seeing the various shapes and sizes of Joshua Trees!

We drove through this part of the park on our way to the Keys View viewpoint and enjoyed the views of the Joshua Trees and rock formations. We didn't have time for the trail out to the old mine, but the scenery is very good.

We went to the Lost Horse Valley.. There is a hiking trail that can take one to the top of Lost Horse Peak and to a well preserved gold mine called Lost Horse Miine.

This was a good walk with a bit of climbing but mostly flat. Great stone formations and of course Joshua Trees. There were a surprising number of people on this walk compared to everywhere else I went in the park. And pretty much everyone was...More
