We’ve been to the Seven Sacred Pools & Bamboo Forest twice, once in October then again the following August. There aren’t words to describe the beauty of this park, it’s awe inspiring. We were able to swim in the lower natural pool, the water was...More

My husband and I visited Ohe'o Gulch towards the end of our road to hana trip. We loved walking around the national park and got some really cool pictures. Would definitely recommend others the hike as the views are pretty cool!

Very disappointed to find this out, and there is no change in the foreseeable future. I would still recommend viewing.

We got here at the sunset! Nice finish line of Road to Hana trip. During the dry season, nothing special, swimming was not aloud. we were the last people in the park, it was Romantic! Sunset was beautiful. Nature was overwhelming!

Even though the secret pools are closed, this place is beautiful and offers amazing views. You can walk to the bottom of it and enjoy the beautiful views. Just sit and relax, that’s all about. It a small hike to get to the edge, about...More

This area was our favorite stop on the road to Hana. The park offers some good picnic spots as well. The walk from the parking area to the falls area is well maintained but there are a couple of steep sections.

Super disappointing to make the drive only to be charged $25 (per vehicle) to arrive at closed pools. It was short walk to them & pretty to look at, but a bit of a let down. So since the pools were closed, we continued to...More

The drive to this section of the park from Hana is approx 30 mins but it is a beautiful scenic drive, with a lot of it past endless coastline and rugged terrain. We drove with our rental Wrangler's top off and it was just amazing....More

Ohe'o Gulch is located at Kipahulu - Haleakalā National Park near Hana. I was disappointed to find out that the Pools of ‘Ohe’o in Kīpahulu are CLOSED indefinitely due to safety concerns with landslides. There is a short loop hike from the visitor's center to...More

In doing my research, I knew the pools were not sacred nor seven. I also knew that the national park system keeps people out most days. Because we have a yearly pass, we decided to go, but I don't think this would be worth the...More

That would be a long hard day with all that driving but you could definately do it. The pass for the park is good for 3 days so I would recommend splitting it into 2 days.
