The first hike of our stay in the Smokies was Alum Cave Trail and we thought it was so wonderful and fascinating that all other following excursions, in some way, were inevitably compared to this one. So... it goes without saying that Lauren Falls trail...More

Get there early to get a parking spot as parking is limited. It's one of the most popular walks in the park. Trail not suitable for strollers. The trail was last paved in the 1960's I read & really needs to be repaired in spots....More

We thought this was an easy hike and really enjoyed it. This was our first hike ever. We started early in the morning and it wasn’t crowded. The falls are really pretty.

My wife and I ventured to Laurel Falls on our first morning in the Great Smokies... It is an easy 1.3 mile gradual incline hike on a paved path. We saw a number of families with small children traversing... Not sure I would want to...More

This is a doable hike (2.6 miles) for people in decent shape. I would not recommend for young children or adults who might not have the stamina. The trail is paved roughly but inclined almost the entire way. Beautiful falls. Beautiful views.

This hike to Laurel Falls was breathtaking. Beautiful fall colors. The area surrounding the falls reminds me of Tinkerbell’s Pixie Hollow.

Is it absolutely amazing? No, but it is free and you walk up a gentle incline on a paved path that allows people of all ages, 6-77 in our group, to walk together to a great pic spot. I would suggest it for those that...More

This was a pretty easy hike on a paved trail. Lots of people climbing around on the rocks up by the falls getting some great pictures of the waterfalls. We would do this hike again!
