We picnic here frequently (but only in the "off" season as spots can be hard to come by "in season") and my grandson loves it but it appears it has been at least partially destroyed by the recent wildfires. It and the Trailhead up the road are closed until further notice.

I have been coming here for over 30 years. We absolutely love this picnic area. We always have breakfast here, cooked on our Coleman stove. I hope that it survived the fires, but I'm afraid it may not have. I hope this beautiful piece of God's earth was not destroyed. If anyone knows, please share it. God bless the Smokies!

If you're looking for a place to have a picnic this is it. There's also a trail head leaving out of the area and many people stop and play in The water or just take in the scenery. you have access to picnic tables grills and bathrooms. As a general rule you can find a picnic table without much of... More

You can't beat this spot for picnicking! A rocky creek that's not only beautiful, but fun to climb and explore. Outdoor grills are available and there are restrooms, these aren't great, but it's a state park bathroom so it's what you would expect. The real attraction is the beauty around you, an awesome area to just take a break or... More

We accidentally went there. Fortunately, the view there is awesome. There are a lot of tables to have meals.

Never been here before but saw this place while riding in the park so we decided to come back for a picnic. The view is so nice and peaceful . There is a creek which runs beside the area but since it was so dry there was hardly any water in it but it was still a beautiful spot in... More

Been to the Smokey National Parl several times and never stopped here. Found it this time and went back again. This is a gem. Many tables and can climb the rock in the stream. Very peaceful. I sat there for a couple of hours in a very peaceful state, thanking God for the fantastic creation. Watching leaves fall, water moving... More

You can either grill out here or bring your picnic with you at this picnic ground. By far, though, the highlight of this picnic ground is the roaring creek that goes through grounds. For decades, kids have been jumping from rock to rock in the middle of the stream, or making their way out to the island in the middle.... More

Breath taking views with beautiful rocks & soothing water. ♡ My children (ages 17, 10 & 4) really enjoyed picnicking here each day we spent in the park. Several children were exploring the rocks and waters. Parking right at the tables, each with grills. Restrooms are clean and well kept, as are the grounds.
