The hike was gradually uphill. Saw deer and four turkeys on the way to Stella a Lake. There was a nice view of Wheeler Peak at Stella Lake! Loved the reflection of the mountain in the lake. Combine this hike with the Bristlecone Pine trail.

Can be combined with the Bristlecone tree trail nice stroller trough the woods. The Peak was nice to wee with the glacier.

Stella Lake is a easy-moderate hike on Wheeler Peak - nice alternative to the big elevation gains. The lake is tiny and lovely. You get to experience several different ecosystems along the way. Not much wildlife this time of year, but we did see deer....More

As a relatively easy way to reach an alpine lake, this trail to Stella lake is a must in Great Basin NP. The lake is pristine and very picturesque. Theresa lake is just .5 miles west and another photo opp if the lighting is right....More

only a few miles. moderate hike. The Lake is much smaller than imagined. We saw some deer on the trail and you cross over a small creek.
