Cape Royal is my favorite overlook out of the ones I have seen on both rims. The best part about it is Angel’s Window. You will recognize it when you see it. You can look right through it and see the Colorado River (a rare...More

If leaving from the lodge give yourself 1/2 hour to travel the 17 miles. The road is somewhat narrow and winding but safe. We saw very few cars during the trip which seems normal for the North Rim. The paved trail at the end of...More

The best location at the grand canyon from the ones i've seen on either the north or the south rim. And both during sunrise and sunset nothing short of spectacular.

Put this one at the top of your must see lists. Spectacular views, one of the few places you can see the Colorado River, with some of the rapids. Bring your binoculars ! Do NOT miss the Angels Window on the return walk.

This is an easy walk on a paved trail to some of the best views of the canyon from the North Rim. Leave yourself half of a day to drive all the way out and stop and see the different overlooks. There aren't hardly any...More
