We woke at 3:45am to get on the 4:30am bus to see the sunrise. I will say it was cool to be there in the dark since you look into a void of nothing. Really a strange feeling. As the sun started to push rays...More

From Yaki viewpoint you have the best sunset view over a big part of the Canyon. Don't forget to look at the clouds in the sky, while they get very special effects too.

This is the place you want to be to watch the sunrise. Catch a shuttle and the driver will ensure you get to the right place. Sunrise and sunset times can be found in hotel room info. It's early but get up and do it....More

This is a great spot to see the canyon. This view, like just about every other view is awe inspiring and should be on your list of places to stop at on your Grand Canyon tour.

Shuttle service begins very early and makes seeing sunrise possible — got thee by the skin of my teeth. Would have preferred to have been at the Point longer before sunrise so check timings first but really pleased I was up before 4:30am for the Shuttle.

Take time to take in the view. Absolutely breathtaking. Take the shuttle bus or hike. No private vehicles allowed. Worth the views.

Stop here. the sites are gorgeous and you can get here by bus or bike. WONDERFUL views ( there were these like may flies here but I think it was the time of year. they just land on you and don't get off!)

This lookout point is only accessible via a shuttle bus. Not being a geologist, the view here is very good and is quite similar to that at Grandview Point. So if you are ecology minded, take the shuttle and visit Yaki Point. If you don't...More

So we got on the correct color shuttle but thought we were going in the opposite direction. By going to Yaki Point we continued our eastern rim discoveries. It is really worth the visit.

Yaki Point is along Desert View Drive, and is the eastern-most stop made by the orange shuttle line. It is not open to individual cars. I think taking the shuttle is easiest, though you could also use the park's taxi... More
