Be sure to do this for at least a mile or so to see the ways the Canyon changes with differing lights, angles, and views. Photography opportunities are at every clearing, and popular overlooks become crowded later in the day.

A good way to see the main viewing points of the Canyon. There is also a bus travelling between key points in the Park, so you can walk a reasonable distance and then get the bus back to the main car park.

This is one of the best ways to begin to understand the sheer size of the park. The trail runs 14mi. We only did a short bit of it. Amazing views. Each bend is different.

If you can't hike into the canyon, then the best way to see it is from the south rim. Be prepared for crowds and difficulty parking. The further you walk away from the parking lots, the more peace and quiet you will have to enjoy...More

What a wonderful pathway. We walked the 9 miles from Bright Angel to Hermit's Rest with an endlessly unfolding vista. At many points along the way one could catch a bus if one was weary. But the paths are very walkable... nicely paved for the...More
