Word of mouth has that the more remote, harder to get to and therefore less crowded North Rim offers a more authentic Canyon experience and better views. However, there is no bus service on this rim and it is closed during the winter.

We were afraid of predicted rain putting a damper on our trip to the Grand Canyon, however it held off & we were able to see the most beautiful rainbow soar across what is already the most breath taking sight!

we follow to rim walk and we stop all along the way to take pictures. Incredible views. It was crazy to see people climbing over the pathways and standing so close to the edge .i wonder how many have been killed doing this.

We chose the North Rim because of the fact it is cooler (temperature) than the South Rim and there are fewer people. Although it was the height of the season there were certainly very few people around. And the views just made you gasp! Occasionally you would hear the sound of a helicopter and, eventually you would spot it, like... More

Breathtaking view. You also need to see the view from the other side (South Rim), worth the detour. For those who have the energy (or the motivation), the hike down to the bottom is absolutely amazing. You need to register (in advance!) to do it, pack lots of water (1 gallon per person). The night at the bottom is so... More

the North Rim has fewer people and you can drive all over the canyon roads till you run out of gas....... you might see Kaibab Squirrels, wild turkey and lots of deer. Aspens and meadows abound this beautiful area....so much better than the South Rim.... Too many people at the S Rim. Camping spots all over, lots of hiking. it's... More

Forget the crowds and traffic of the south rim. Take the time to visit the North rim. If you are RVing there is an alpine meadow you can camp in where you will have the entire place to yourselves and it is only 8 miles from the park overlook down a well maintained dirt road.

The vistas are absolutely incredible ! Less crowded than the South Rim but every bit as scenic. The walking paths get you right into the action so watch your step.

The most breathtaking place I have ever seen. Pictures don't do it justice. A must see! Rent a vehicle and climb the mountains. There are several places to stay at the national park. Lots of interesting look offs and you can even take a tour if you wish.

I can explain the moment I saw it. I believe no photos or no videos can replace the experience of facing Grand Canyon in person. Also if you go there, remember to take the helicopter tour. It may be expensive but I would say it worth every dollar I spent on it. It is really a gift from nature!!
