It's BOTH Glacier (US) and Waterton (Canada) National Parks, a combined area of 1720 square miles. Many TripAdvisor reviews sadly reflect confusion. Some people don't always know where they are. Example: having to drive from Glacier to the International Peace Park. You're already there! Drive to the Waterton part! The US and Canada declared the combination in 1932, after rangers... More

We took a day and drove up from Glacier- it is absolutely worth the trip! We had our dog with us, so didn't get to hike much, but we saw goats, bears, elk. It was absolutely stunning scenery. The drive is spectacular and so is the little town inside the park where you can eat, shop and spend the night.

My dream was to visit this park and it lived up to everything I could have imagined. Take the Grinnel Glacier trail, you won't regret the stunning views along the way & at the top. Late May was a great time to go, too. Only ran into a few others on this trail. There was a small section that was... More

After going over the going to the sun busy crowded beautiful road it was a nice drive getting to the Waterton Canadian less crowded side. Recommend the 1927 boat ride between the country's. One of the roads was closed for repair that goes in to a famous lake and we didn't have time for Red Rock canyon. The elk at... More

The WGI Peace park is super nice, but not a must see. If you are into getting your passport stamped make sure you request at border crossing.

The lake is gorgeous. The mountain scenery is outstanding. The village is wonderfully charming. We took the boat tour and that was outstanding. I loved this place. The Prince of Wales hotel is a must visit. I hope to return someday.

Peaceful, serene, contented, prosperous. This summarizes the waves of feeling that overcome you as you visit this Park on the border of USA and Canada. Just enjoy the quiet peace.

We visited on October 9th, just before snow closed down the park on October 10th. We had to see the west side (up and back) then take Highway 2 around to the east side because Logan Pass was already closed. West side was a great drive for anyone not in an oversized vehicle - beautiful views, rushing waterfalls, fall color,... More

We zipped up to Waterton for an afternoon while staying along the east side of Glacier National Park. It was a beautiful ride and the lake with the mountains dropping right into it was stunning. Much more commercial than Glacier - clearly a resort town with the requisite cute shops, coffee houses, and ice cream. One caution - you are... More

My husband and I visited for 1 day in September 2016, and we LOVED our visit here! The park is small enough to cover in a day, but we did not have time to take but 1 short hike. We were warned about the bears and saw signs that they were around, but we didn't see any bears until our... More
