This is a great tour so that everyone in your party can enjoy the views. When you drive Going to the Sun Road yourself, whoever is driving cannot experience the views as well as everyone else. So taking this tour is a great alternative!

We usually go our own way in the national parks, but on our second trip to GNP, we decided to splurge on a Red Bus Tour. Several different tour options are available, and they tend to change over time to best appeal to the tourists....More

The comfortable buses are totally renovated from the 1930's, painted fire engine red, with open roofs (in good weather) for picture taking. The drivers are knowledgeable and friendly, explaining park lore as you drive around (for about 90 minutes). They make frequent stops for photo...More

I think it would be possible with his fathers help. The Red Bus is a 1940 type so they are high off the ground. The front seat next to the driver should work for him ... He would definitely need help to get on and off.
