Looking to experience the Everglades? The Anhinga Trail, just a short distance from Visitor Center is easily accessible with plenty to see. As you follow the boardwalk it fairly easy to spot a variety of fish, waterfowl, turtles and plenty of gators! No binoculars needed, though I regretted not having them for better viewing of one particular nest. Be sure... More

We visited the Everglades and walked this very popular trail. We stopped counting the alligators after we saw 34, we saw some real Circle of Life stuff with a bird and fish, as well as countless other birds, turtles, fish and interesting plants. The scenery is very pretty. It is an easy walk, I'd say less than a mile, and... More

We really enjoyed this boardwalk view of the Everglades. It's a short walk but full of wildlife and beauty. Of all of the places we visited on our Everglades vacation, this is where we saw the most alligators.

We saw so many animals. Alligators, turtles and all kinds of fish and birds. The trail is short but built over the swamp. Highly recommend this place.

The Anhinga trail is certainly worth an hour or two of your time. Lots of birds reptiles and amphibians. National Park is clean and we'll marked. Our family of five 13,10,9 year old kids) had a blast. Easy, safe. Quite a few people (but not crowded) but there's so many things to see who cares. We enjoyed it it's easy... More

Wonderful wildlife viewing on a short and easy path. It's accessible to everyone! It's perfect for kids to view lots of wildlife. In our short walk we saw lots of alligators and water birds, turtles, fish, etc. When you think of the Everglades, this is the type of environment and wildlife that springs to mind.

During our time in Florida, we did all 3 entrances to Everglades National Park and this trail was far and above our favorite. Easy to get to, wheelchair accessible, and wildlife around every corner. We did this trail mid-morning in January. We saw a ton of great wildlife along the trail, especially alligators but also all kinds of different birds.... More

We visited a part of this wonderful Everglades National Park and we were amazed by the beauty of the wilderness there! We saw many turtles, alligators, birds of all kinds! I was kind of scared at the beginning because, technically, an alligator can come to you at basically any time but they don't. A guide told us that, generally, they... More

Spouse and I walked the trail (about 0.8 mile) after visiting the Coe Welcome Center (has lots of Everglades’ info) in this part of the Everglades. The trail was great – lots of bird species, multiple alligators, several fish species, lots of marsh area. I think we identified 6- 8 large bird species – including of course- Anhinga. If you... Alligators galore. And birds: Anhinga, Egrets, Cormorants, Purple Gallinue, Blue Herons. A few turtles and many fish. You should cover your vehicle with the tarp and bungee cords provided near the start of the trail. If you get there late and no tarps are available, park near other cars. Do not park in a lonely spot in the far end.... More
