We were on a bus with a tour guide who was extremely knowledgeable of the area and its history. Saw a moose, some fowl, and a bear. The top of Denali was hidden by clouds but it was still beautiful. Would highly recommend visiting.

We are proud members of the "30 percenters" which means only 30% of the people visiting this magnificent park, have a clear day to see Denali and the mountain is not covered in fog. This place is outstanding and I highly recommend the Tundra Tour....More

The bus ride takes 8 hours, so this is a whole day experience. And that is if you "only" go to the Eielson Visitor Center. Wonder Lake is another 2 hours and $20 a person. If the mountain is out (it was not for us)...More

For a real adventure, take the 14-hour Kantishna trip. This tour goes to the end of the road - mile 89 - and is not on as tight a schedule as the Wilderness tour. The tour stops at Kantishna Road House for lunch and a dog... More

The tundra tour goes over 50 miles into Denali. The other tour goes only about 20 miles. The chances of seeing animals like caribou, moose etc is greater on the tundra tour. However, you are on the bus for almost 8 hours... More
