The view of the summit from wonder lake is second to none. There are social trails for easy hiking. We enjoyed seeing lots of berries and flowers.

We got dropped off near Wonder Lake by our shuttle driver, as we wanted to explore the area on our own. There is a nice trail that leads to the top of a small cliff, from where you can get a good view of the...More

First things first, Alaska is so very weather dependent. We took the long bus ride out to Wonder Lake on the earliest bus at 5:15. The eve prior they had a storm that rolled through and we had a beautiful sunny day with stunning views...More

I took the park bus here. Saw a bunch of animals along the way. And the lake itself looks great and is an ideal place for photo ops.

I booked the shuttle bus to Wonder Lake for 3 days during my visit to Denali. The first day was rainy and cloudy and the mountain wasn't out. I decided to go all the way so I could see the lake in case the weather...More

We were so lucky - spent three days at Wonder Lake camping, and the Mountain showed its face all the time. The lake is beautiful, and the view of Denali across the lake is unbeatable.

Just drove by but the drive to this area is incredible. I imagine camping out at Wonder Lake is fantastic, blessed by sweeping views of Denali on a clear day!

Took the bus to wonder lake and it is a beautiful area. Could not see the mountain as it was too cloudy. Saw a loon, bald eagle and a Moose in a nearby pond.

A perfect place to stand and take a photo of Mt Denali!! We saw a huge moose swim across the end of the lake and climb out of the water! Check out Blueberry trail, one of only two maintained trails in the national park.

This lake is almost 90 miles from the park entrance. It is pretty but if you missed it you wouldn't go home feeling you missed an item on your bucket list.

There is only one bus route. Wonder Lake is about three miles or so from the literal "end of the road", about 90 miles in.

I would call the park. There are campsites at wonder lake that are pretty basic. You go on a school bus. I can't remember how many they run during the day, but more than one as it takes several hours to get to wonder... More
