Staying at the Quillayute River Resort in La Push, Wa. Located on a quiet river in the woods, with bald eagles in the trees, fishing in the river and close to great hikes and beaches on the rugged undeveloped Washington coast. Wow. What a find....More

What an amazing view of Death Valley. High clearance vehicle is helpful but someone came up in a Toyota Camry while we were at the view point at the top. A couple of hairy narrow turns but mostly just washboard shaking for the 6 mile...More

Breathtaking views of death valley just under your feet. without a doubt - the best viewpoint in death valley. best time to visit - just before sunset. 4WD required.

As already noted, the drive is, shall we say, 'challenging'. The view, while nice, paled in comparison to the views from Zabriskie Point and Dante's View (and for the more adventuresome, Wildrose Peak). A visit to Eureka Mine is an excellent side trip if you're...More

Road in is 6 miles, at least 4 were bone-jarring washboard. But SO worth it to get to the views of practically the entire valley. You'll pass an old mine on your right, going in; stop and look around there on your way back out.

The road in is good and plenty of parking. Not an easy climb the paths are good. The mines are easy to peer into and some hold old treasures of the era. The views at the top are beautiful. Our day was quite breeze but...More

Drove up in Yukon without 4 wheel drive in a light shower. Somewhat frightening around the peak but worth the time. No problem if you drive with caution and moderate the speed. Stop at the mine on the way up or down as this is...More

It is a 6 mile 4WD road to get to this point. Towards the end it becomes kind of dangerous to drive around he cliff. But, the viewpoint is totally worth all that. It is beautiful.

Getting here requires navigating a fairly rough dirt road. Don't attempt if you don't have decent clearance. A Subaru type vehicle will suffice. This is a good sunset site.

A long drive in on unpaved road, but our Forester managed it just fine. The last 1/4 mile is steep, narrow, and you see Death Valley 6000 feet below. The view at the top is amazing, and you will probably have it to yourself. We...More

I know it's too late for you, but to other that have this question: yes, Aguereberry point is one of the few "off road" roads where you can take a normal sedan. it is a dirt road with gravel, but no large rocks or boulders... More
