Beautiful Waterfall and Even Better Down at the Bottom
Sep 2020
Stayed in Roseburg the night before and left around 7:45 am to try and make it to the falls around 9:00 am. The official part of the hike was relatively easy and you end up at a platform looking out to the falls. If you decide you want to go down to the base of the falls on the unofficial trail, there's a hole in the chain link fence where you have to squeeze through. If you want more details, I made an entire blog post about it on "The Luxury Lowdown" dot com. Getting down to the falls was definitely harder than the marked trail so be careful that you don't slip. There were probably already four groups down there taking pictures, but still enough room where you won't have anyone in your pictures.

A short hike to a good waterfall, but not a cake walk
Sep 2020
For a person not in the best of shape, like me, this trail is a bit of a challenge, especially wearing a mask and on a hot day. I asked someone at our hotel about the hike, and she said it had maybe 20-40 steps. NO! It has about 100 steps upward one way and 125 the other way. Also, there are protruding rocks and roots on the ground. There is a fall risk if you do not have a good sense of balance. If you are in good shape with no serious medical issues, no problem. The waterfall itself is very nice, so go see it if you are up to it.

Beautiful

Beautiful waterfall. About 400 steps round trip with pathways in between. We are 70, and the trail is not too strenuous.

Nice hike and falls

It’s all uphill, but not that long or tough. Soon you’ll be alongside the creek seeing cool cascades, then the picture perfect falls. Well worth the time.

Fairly easy/quick hike
Jul 2020
Enjoyed the hike--fairly easy for flatlanders compared to Silver Falls State Park and Wallace Falls. The views weren't as clear from the platforms as with other water falls, but still beautiful and worth the stop. Wish there would have been an easier/safer way for kids to get to the bottom other than crawling through a torn fence and using a rope. But, it's nature! I'd go again.

Gorgeous

This waterfall was stunning! It was a quick easy path to get to it and it was an amazing site. The only downfall is that the viewing platform is rather high up and far from the falls and there is no proper trail to go further down. There was a spot where the fence had been torn away and ropes tied to assist people with climbing down the steep embankment to get to the bottom but unfortunately we didn’t allow enough time in our day to climb down. Still worth the stop but if your adventurous I’d definitely climb down to the bottom.

It was Okay

The hike was indeed quick and easy, but I was hoping to be closer to the falls. It's an easy hike to an overlook to the falls, but it's farther than I expected.

Quick easy hike
Oct 2019
It was a quick easy hike to see the falls. Less than a half mile walk. It was worth the quick detour on our road trip.

These falls are on Hwy 138. They are a little hike to see but well worth the trip. Beautiful falls coming out of the mountain in a very wooded beautiful area. It you can these are a must.

Not What I Expected
Sep 2019 • Couples
I was expecting to be at the water or closer to the waterfalls; however it was really pretty and was able to appreciate what nature gave us. I am glad we did it, and would suggest it to anyone who appreciates nature and haven’t seen a waterfall.
