At the end of a dirt road that passes through some beautiful rock formations, you arrive at the trailhead for Capitol Gorge. Unbelievably, this was once a main road to the south. The trail is flat but rocky -- I just wore tennis shoes, but...More

The trail head for Capitol Gorge Trail is at the end of a 1.5 mile dirt road called Capitol Gorge Rd. The road is actually quite scenic, but very bumpy and slow. The trail itself is easy, 1 mile one way on sand, and very...More

A short drive along a dirt road with exciting cliff faces and bulging overhangs leads to another nice easy trail. Well worth making the effort.

Driven this with my teens and they were amazed at the height of the walls. It's like driving a slot canyon, and when it's 100degrees, I'd much rather enjoy it with AC.
