What an amazing feature to behold. My teenage son and I took this in during Spring Break and he had to purchase a Thor's Hammer memento at the Visitor's Center as a memory. Viewable from a couple different locations, we took it in via the...More

How does this balance? If you are a comic book Thor lover you will appreciate this view and if not it is still a remarkable thing to see nature balancing act. Worth the hike to see this formation.

We were at Bryce Canyon in early December '17 and looked up the exact time for sunrise for the day we were staying (it was a couple of mins before 7am). We drove to the Canyon for about 6.40am, and walked over to Sunset Point....More

There are several formations I thought fit this description, but none as big as the actual one. Impressive rock formation standing on its own.

Great formation. Seems like it might just fall off any second, yet it's been there for thousands of years. Use the Wall Street entrance to the Navajo Trail for the best quick look.

The hammer is prominently positioned at the front of the amphitheater near sunset point. It's easy to reach on the trail that switchbacks down with numerous opportunities to find interesting photographic compositions along the way.
