Started here for our Rim to Rim hike. Did it in a day, took 12 hours! The North Rim is beautiful! Aspen Grove trees that eventually give way to cacti. Incredibly beautiful and scenic. The red rock formations are incredible. Can't say enough about this...More

You have come this far, make the time to see the north rim. The dirt road to it and in it is easily passable with a car. The views are much better than the south rim as you can see deeper in to the canyon....More

I haven't done the South Rim, but the rims aren't far geographically from each other, so I can't imagine they're that different, but the North is definitely less visited, as it's harder to get to. I enjoyed feeling like I was the only one there....More

This is a beautiful and inspiring place to visit. It took us many miles out of the way to get here only to find no resources or staff.

Gas up the car, turn off your phone (there's no service anyway), fill your water bottles and prepare for an adventure on the north side. There are some overlooks off the road, similar to the design of the rim road on the south side, but...More
