This truly is a National Park that I would consider to be a hidden gem. Even if you oly have about 1 hour to spare, I'd still recommend driving to the Visitor's Center for a brief visit. I promise the beautiful view and the alluring...More

Learn all you need to know about how to maximize your time at this hidden wonder. Excellent programs for the public, great views of the canyon, well-stocked bookstore.

These guys are so knowledgeable! Love that I was able to ask a bunch of questions before proceeding. Gift shop staff were very sweet!!

Seven miles north off US 50, if you are traveling this road you must make time to at least drive to the visitor center to take in the magnificent views. Truly remarkable what a river can do to rock! I don't camp, so didn't stay...More

Here you can get an overview of the Park and receive advice and information from well informed Rangers. This allows you to plan your visit as it takes a lot of time especially if you wish to go to the North Rim and down East...More

Great displays, a film, friendly rangers. Lots of books for sale too. Use the toilets elsewhere, too crowded here.

Stopped here first once entering the park, they have an awesome setup teaching the history and geology of the area. The visitor's center contains a "gift shop" with a lot of merchandise. The rangers inside were super nice and very informative. Behind the visitor's center...More
