Really nice in the afternoon, but very busy. We came back just after sunrise, one morning, and it was a lovely peaceful time.

It was unseasonably warm (74) causing lots of fog and high waves when we were there. There were warnings reminding people not to be fooled and that the water temp was still low. We are from the Midwest, so you don’t get to the ocean...More

What a delight to find this beautiful sandy beach in a park that appears to be all wood and mountains. Be sure to park and go for a stroll along the beach. It is only about 300 yards wide but the scenery is beautiful. It...More

The parking lot of pretty big and the walk to the beach is short. It’s about ten steps down. A sand beach is very rare this far north so that makes it cooler. It’s real beautiful but a doubt anyone goes into the water as...More

Rare sand beach in Maine at Acadia Park. Nice to walk along the sand, especially when tide is out. Great photo op.

Sand beach was nice, but of all the places we saw in Acadia it was probably my least favorite. To be fair, I'm from the west coast and sand beaches are the norm there so this one site did not wow me like the others...More

It was a nice sandy beach to visit after our hike. There were a lot of people there so don't expect to get an isolated picture. There are changing areas if you need them and 3 stalls in the ladies restroom. Take toilet paper with...More

This 290 yard beach is one of the most popular places to visit in Acadia. The only sandy beach in the park, it’s a great place to get up close the ocean waves. In the summer visitors flock here to take in the sun. While...More
