Better than expected especially with fall leaves changing colors. Places to sit and take in a beautiful lake. Like it better than Jordan Pond actually and on the western half side of Acadia National Park.

We stopped by after a long day of exploring, and found that we had the entire beach to ourselves around 4:30pm on a Sunday evening in early October. It was a perfect last stop to our day, as there is no trail to walk, just...More

Worth a quick stop, the beach is small . Good place to relax if interested in swimming, subject to the water being warm. There were ample facilities for shower etc. Not many people around. We were on the southern edge of the lake's beach, driving on...More

Nice stop on our drive. Scenic. Water too cold to swim. Off season so no crowds. Could see it being a popular spot in the heat of summer. Nice facilities.

Swim and sun youself from the rock cliff instead of the beach. Pull over at the parking area for Acadia Mountain, short trail to the water. Water superbly clear and clean. Relatively warm compared with the frigid ocean here in Acadia.

This option is an excellent opportunity to get in a quick 2 hour hike (beware of the ladders - not for dogs if you want to reach the summit). Then enjoy a dip at the quaint Echo Beach. A definite for hot days in Acadia!

Small beach but gorgeous views and crystal clear water. We visited on a colder day so didn't get on the lake. We have this spot on the list for our next visit.

After a hard hike to the Beach Mt summit in 81 degrees, Echo Lake Beach on fresh water was so refreshing at about 70 degrees. Remember, the ocean beaches are part of the North Atlantic at 50 degrees in August.

I would give this 4 points if the water was not that cold when I visited. Other than that, the water was so clear that you can even see the bottom. Great view as well.
