We took our time and pulled out everywhere. Took lots of pictures. Did some hiking. And felt we only saw 70%. Guess you should drive it twice. It was free by using our senior park passes. Highly recommend it if visiting Maine. Three cruise ships...More

We drove through Acadia National Park to see the colors. Stopped at several places to take pictures. It was all beautiful. I can’t imagine how crowded it would be during the summer as it was quite busy. Glad we came here.

We went there and sat for around 2-3 hours at this place. It was quiet and soul searching. The sound of water and the mountains near by gave us a moment which we will savor for life.

Drove the Park Loop first week of October, trees starting to change colors on top of incredible views everywhere you look. Make sure your phone/camera is charged.

We drove the Park Loop road, but you can also take the free park shuttle (Summer through early Fall). There are scenic pullouts and stops along the way at Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Jordan Pond, and the road to Cadillac Mountain. Lots of trails to...More

Took this loop to help discover areas we would like to explore closer. You can also take free bus around the loop.

There weren’t any lighthouses visible from the trails I went on. There is a nice lighthouse on the southern part of the western half (quiet side) portion of the island. I also think there are some boat tours you can take to... More
