We took the park shuttle and let the driver know we were doing the Beehive Hike and she let us off right at the trail head. There were other groups going along but only at one point did it feel crowded. We got behind a...More

The Beehive Trail was the best hike of anyplace we've been. That includes Zion's Angel's Landing Trail, which up to now was our favorite hike. Beehive is all ascent to the summit which rewards you with an amazing 360 degree view of Acadia. Both my...More

My husband and I are 63 and very fit for our age, but parts of this climb were scary. We took the trail to the right at the split...yes we read the danger sign. It was not too strenuous, but it was dangerous if you...More

Don't watch the youtube video. If your 12 or older kid is modestly fit, they will greatly enjoy this. Plenty of holds and no obvious dangerous spots. It certainly will take your breathe away

Short trail to some spectacular views. Very open so don't do if fear of heights, but if you can live with that, this trail is tons of fun. Don't bring pets or small kids.

We did this trail several times. This is a narrow trail and not a lot of shade. Suggest to do this trail earlier in the day. Fantastic view of Sandy beach and other areas of the park. You will take the Bowl trail down. If...More

My wife and I really enjoyed climbing the Beehive Cliff trail. A lot of this trail is near vertical, but none of it is really difficult. The iron rungs help a lot, and I never felt in danger of falling. This certainly isn't the most...More

My daughter and I each thought it was one of the coolest trails we have ever done. My son went with my wife to take the long way. I think he really would have enjoyed the hike, but my wife, with her fear of heights...More

Yes I believe the shuttle to the park...then there are different shuttles within Acadia you'd have to find out which line takes you to sand beach stop

It took us about 1.5 hrs round trip. We ended up stopping and enjoying the views and exploring a bit on way down
