Wonderful place in which dry forest and beach come together in a fine way. it is a government regulated location in which you can camp with friends or family. There are no hotels, stores or restaurants close by as it is a protected area. Beautiful!

Preposterously beautiful beach teeming with wildlife - we saw capuchins, raccoons, coatis, iguanas etc, and apparently there are armadillos around as well. Basic, functional camping facilities and very friendly, helpful rangers. No people. Be aware - gangs of raccoons will spend the whole night trying to get your food - make sure it’s tied in a secure bag high above ground level!…

I was staying at Papagayo Peninsula and drove 1 1/2 hr to this beach. Absolutely worth it One of the best Surrounded by green this blue water beach is very calm so you can swim and then take a stroll If you go early morning, no one is there and you are all alone in the middle of the most amazing beach 15 $ to enter the park is totally worth it! …

One of the last real camping-friendly beaches in the country, with parking, showers, toilets, grills and designated spaces. Plus this white sand beach is one of the best in Costa Rica. Fortunately, only a few people know about this place, probably because it´s a bit remote.
