Nice area, large area, very historic but undergoing some maintenance right now so access to the whole Castle is limited. I suspect and seem to remember that they are in the process of securing if after earthquakes.

The ruins of the 17th century castle is part of a small park. Visitors usually get on top of the ruins to have a nice view of the city. There is no much to see unless once visits during cherry blossom.
