During the peak season of autumn leaves, please come here early to queue for the tickets. Otherwise come around at noon during which we notice there is no queue. It is a very small place but the views are stunning. Crowds of people gathering up...More

It was not difficult to access to Rurikoin and u can even take the beautiful train. Before getting inside the Rurikoin, u have to walk around 10 minutes from the station. Autumn leaves were very pretty along the walk, and the weather was also fantastic...More

We went there on one of the morning in early Nov. There was still very little glimpse of maple leaves. But the scene was still stunning. The atmosphere and the view gave people a peace of mind... though there was not much to see, still...More

Good place to visit once. It is unique from other place. I recommend to go on weekday better than sat-sun because it not crowded. Warning that IT IS QUITE EXPENSIVE for Entry fee about 2000 yen.

Ruri-Koin Temple is located in Yase Ohara, Kyoto. For only one month during spring and autumn, it's opened to public and you can enjoy its picturesque views: in spring, you can see gorgeous green maple (Ruri-Koin is full of green and quietness), and in autumn,...More

Besides the overpriced entrance (2000JPY), place was overcrowded. Had to wait for almost 3.5(!) hours! First time I had this awful experience. You are supposed to see beautiful colors during autumn but it was not something that special. Be prepared for super long wait!

It opens in 2 particular periods, Spring and Autumn only, as it has a very beautiful nature scene. We visited in Nov 2015 for the red leave scene. No doubt that the magnificent scene became even better when we saw through the wooden windows, that's...More

Visited the temple for 2 times. From 2014, it only opened for November 15~30. The ticket price became 2000 yen. But, the scenery is attractive and impressed.

Entrance was 2000JPY and its not worth it, although the fall colors are gorgeous and the building itself is impressive and interesting regardless.
