While in Italy we wanted to try as many different wines as possible and see both large and small wine producers. Borgogno is a large commercial producer. If nothing else, stop in and take the elevator to their roof top terrace for a great view of the city. The tour starts with a brief history of the winery and a... More

This is a large and well known producer so the wine is decent. Nicely organised tasting room with friendly and helpful staff. However, everything is scripted and you won't learn much more than what you can get from Google. Nice view from the roof though.

Short cellar tour with fascinating stories of the winery, that has role in Birth of Italian unification 1861 and internationalization of Barolo wines. Excellent tasting of historical vintages and single vineyards - pricey but also unbelivable excellence. No name Langhe Nebbiolo and Era Ora Riesling are absolute have to's in addition to Barolos.

I am in the restaurant industry in the U.S., so this visit to Borgono was arranged by our restaurant wholesaler. I'm sure that anyone else would be treated similarly, however. We were met by Carlotta, and shown the entire process of how they make wine on site, from receiving their grapes all the way through aging. She was incredibly friendly,... More

Very friendly staff. Was able to obtain a very generous wine tasting at little to no cost... Been a couple of times and will be back. Langhe is a special wine region and not many places compare. This is a nice/well run shop with a good selection of vintages (if you have the budget). Very cool rooftop view of the... More

Andrea let us through a wonderful tasting of several Barolos, describing each vintage as we sampled them. He then gave us a couple of glasses of tasty, nicely aged Barolo to enjoy on the rooftop terrace. It was a really memorable experience, and one of the highlights of our trip.

The Borgogno Cantina in central Barolo offers wine tasting of a wide variety of their production, the staff is kind and helpful and guide you through the different wines. The shop is clean and nice, the yard is calm and offers nice seating for the tasting, and in addition you can take the glass elevator up to the roof terrace... More

We had a 3pm appointment and were met by Andrea, who gave us a great tour of the facilities followed by a wonderful tasting! We loved the wines, and the Barolos were some of our favorite wines we tasted during our stay in Piedmont. We bought two bottles to bring back to the US

This is a good tasting room and they do a nice tour, but if you do nothing else, buy a glass of wine in the tasting room and go up to the rooftop terrace for a great view of Barolo.
