We visited on one of the last days of the season before the gardens close until February. It was glorious. It was dry enough to walk through all the different garden rooms. Such a variety! Wide paths for children to run on, secret quiet corners...More

Such an interesting garden, with lots of different areas, grandchildren love it as there is always something to do. Nice flat garden for more senior members of the family. And a great little cafe on site.

It helped that it was hot and sunny but this is a lovely tranquil Nat Trust garden and a great way to spend 2-3hrs and have a picnic and tea/cake in the café too.

This National Trust garden is well worth a visit. We loved the different 'rooms' and the interesting plantings in the borders. One could spend many peaceful hours here. The cosy woodpanelled Tea Room in the old house serves delicious food as a bonus.

An interesting garden. Orchard varied and interesting selection fruit. Water garden well laid out pity bridge not open for walking. Formal gardens well planted. Enjoyed our visit on sunny autumn day. Get there early if you want lunch as it gets busy.

We had a lovely few hours wandering around the sculptures in the gardens. Our children (8,7 & 3) were able to run around and explore the gardens, climbing trees and play in the mud kitchen. If you aren’t an NT member would be a little...More

This is a lovely small garden with an excellent Tea Room. It takes about 1.5 hours to see the whole garden and it gives great ideas for your own garden. At this time of year their large number of fruit trees are dropping their apples...More
