I am not a rug hooker but, after many years, went to visit this museum with a friend. I was truly blown away by the quality and diversity of the collection.and the presentation of the art and history!! Although it looks unassuming from the exterior this museum/gallery is a true treasure. DON'T MISS IT!

My husband and I stopped in the museum knowing nothing about this interesting historic art form. We were pleasantly surprised. A nicely curated museum showing a variety of hooked rug art. It was interesting to learn about this Nova Scotia tradition. It's great to see them keeping it alive. The best part of our trip was chatting with Hannah and Taylor, such nice ladies! Without having to ask they gave us great recommendations for a scenic drive and a great place to find lunch with a wonderful view. Definitely worth a stop to learn about this interesting tradition and meet some really great locals.

A fascinating museum of the little know craft of Rug Hooking. Much larger than expected and with good and helpful staff who welcomed us with the words "Hello are you Hookers!". Lots to see and the work on display is beautiful and you can appreciate the time, love and experience the person has put into their work.A nice display of the tools and history of the craft, also plenty of examples to buy and take home. Very strangely bumped into a colleague from work back in the UK and greeted him with the words "Hello fancy meeting you here in the worlds largest Rug Hooking Museum on a rainy day in Nova Scotia!)

This place is a must even if you think you don't care for rugs. It will blow your mind at the work that goes into some of these pieces. The owner is a cute French-speaking lady who is a gem.
