Travelling by car winding roads for unique interesting places
Aug 2019
Amazing church on a very winding road the SS337 in northern Italy towards Switzerland. It has a very old 1600 church with a fourteenth century fresco of Our Lady of the Milk which has a great story of a miracle 29 April 1494. A beautiful place with old narrow walkways right near the church. Well worth a visit along this scenic road from Domodossola, Italy to Locarno in Switzerland.

A must see sight in this small town
Aug 2018 • Couples
We came upon this church by chance when driving from Domodossola to Locarno. It is an old church made important by the relics of a saint who performed a miracle. Onto the old church has been grafted a fairly modern basilica and it is the mixture of ancient and modern which gives the building its interest and charm.

What an adventure!
May 2016 • Family
From Ascona to Re, we needed to drive in the winding and small roads. The adventure was like a big challenge. Just be careful, many people drive crazily. Those who didn't get used that kind of trip may vomit. To avoid, have a look at the beautiful view during the trip.
It was amazing to hear someone playing organs. The sounds was so peaceful, even we heard it from outside.
The cathedral is old but beautiful. You can see many baby baptism medals/emblems are hanging around the wall. The main altar is huge with blue ribbon. The two small altars are just gorgeus. There is a small door. Passing by and you can see the tower and a municipal house. There are souvenir shop and mineral stones shops. If you are hungry, there is a small restaurant next to the tower.

Must See if You Travel to Re
Aug 2015 • Couples
My wife and I were driving through the Italian Alps and just happened to drive into Re. We came upon this very large and interesting church and just had to stop in.

We were quite surprised that such a large church would be found in such a small, out-of-the-way village.

Marvelous church - an absolute must see. Beautiful interior and quite historic. If you are in Re, Italy, please tour this church.

Giant Basilica with surprising interior!
Jul 2015 • Friends
Located in Re, a small Italian village in the Province of Verano-Ossola, we had planned to stop in the village for coffee but found an added surprise in the giant cathedral towering over the entire town. The first part was built in the 1600's and the second, Basilica Minor, was built in the early 1900's. We found the stained glass spheres fascinating as well as the floating blue ribbons of materials hanging from the ceiling. We could not find out details on the interior but walked out of the church in surprising awe. Beautiful!
