Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fine if you're just looking for a short walk .
The surroundings are nice enough but nothing remarkable .
Nice to see the reservoir .

Nice hour and a half flat walk around the reservoir. Plenty of spots for bramble picking along the way and popular for the dog walkers.

There wasn’t any car park so we parked in nearby round wood and stopped afterwards for lunch

It began its built in early 1860s. It has many trails and a large water place. Dam has good structured and deep wood paths for pleasant walks.

Managed this walk with 8yr old. Really lovely with the sun shining - easy, mostly flat walk and good photos taken.

We done an 18 km hike around the lakes today and I would definitely recommend it, I took my friend who isn't really a Walker or hiker but she was well able for it, its flat so no hills to surprise her so she managed very well, bring your own packed lunch and drink if you are going to do more than 10 km, if you don't want to so that their are a few pubs in round wood village that you can get food in.
Lovely scenery and a chance to get out with friends into the fresh air is always a win win.

We walked along the path around the upper lake and around the upper part of the lower reservoir. This took 2 hours at an easy pace. The path is good and mostly dry.
There are beautiful views of trees, water and wildlife.

A group of us completed the full circuit of both the upper and lower reservoirs today and had a most enjoyable time. Despite the odd shower and strong NW winds, the conditions underfoot were fine with only the odd puddle to be avoided.
It took about three and half hours to walk the 15.5km and that included about half an hour of stops. The combination of natural scenery and Victorian engineering was intriguing especially the views over the treatment plant at the southern end. There is parking for about 15 cars beside the main entrance gates on the R765.
