North of Sligo, this is a six-mile loop of single lane road that’s located in the center of a mountain range. Absolutely incredible scenery; not to be missed. It takes about an hour, and there are plenty of places to pull off and take photos....More

Off the beaten track but wow. The views around the horseshoe were just stunning! The mountains and the waterfalls. And we found the magic bit of the road where when you take the handbrake off you go up the hill. So weird!!

stunning spot time forgot follow the signs closely as there are only 2. The weather changed fast and we had rain and mist come down on us quickly and it is a small road to drive on

Worth every bit of effort. Having visited Mullaghmore, we decided to take a detour in the car round the horseshoe on the way back to Sligo. The magnificent views were every bit as good as you’d expect from the reviews.

A wonderfully scenic drive that will be sure to impress anyone. We stopped several times along the way to take photo's which don't do the landscapes justice. The panoramic views are simply too wide and too high to capture.

A nice quiet walk with stunning views. Took about an hour and a half to complete. Very little traffic on the route nearly non-existent

This is a very dramatic drive starting from the waterfalls at Gleniff Barytes Mill Site and around the inside of the mountain range. As a photographer, I was delighted with the scenery and would highly recommend this route, even on a rainy day. Great for...More
