Beautiful beach. Long strand perfect for a stroll. It can get windy so wrap up. Lovely spot for dogs and to take a few snaps.

A great beach to walk, but check tide times, if possible. Low tide is great, and you might even get across to the island, but high tide can leave a smaller strip of slanted sand that can be uncomfortable to walk on. Tilty leg syndrome!!

Absolutely gorgeous beach at Narin Portnoo in County Donegal. We walked the length of the beach late in the afternoon and when the sun went down it was spectacular!

While touring Donegal County, I stopped by this beach and found it to be another typical beautiful Ireland one. Expansive, nice sand, beautiful views -- what' s not to like.

This place is special - unique - and it's Ireland at its best .... you come here to feed the soul. The beach is very walkable and views expansive - like being at the top of the earth. Locals on holiday , not tourists

We visited for a bracing walk on the beach (the weather was unkind) which we all enjoyed. The blue flag beach has a lifeguard on duty so it's safe for children. There is car parking near by with sets of steps to access the beach....More

We are regular visitors to the beach and the walks on the beach are fantastic. For a fun day out we often take a packed lunch and walk Narin strand, over the golf course, across Castlegoland beach and to the end of the third. Make...More

We stayed in B&B's in Dungloe so I don't know the hotels in the area. I was surprised to see a lot more hotels than I remembered from previous visits to Co. Donegal.

Head for Portnoo and you'll reach it about a mile before. You can't miss it.
